Worship using all the arts. For this worship time we invite artists of different media [musicians, actors, dancers, poets, visual artists] to come together to worship God. Individuals bring materials or equipment needed to participate. Each brings something to add to the corporate expression of worship. The mutual influence, which I call ‘confluence’, flows between people as they sense what God is saying among them. Music, movement, word, dance and visual art all issue forth in such a way that God is both in the creation of it, while at the same time He is the benefactor receiving this worship. It is usually a profound experience for those participating in this way and it opens up a whole new understanding of 1 Cor. 14 with each person coming with a song or scripture.

Ministry time of healing for brokenness. Here we pray together to release God’s prophetic word in one another. This time often follows the Worship time above. We want to break any chains in people’s lives from rejection, failure, fear, etc. This form of ministry includes words of knowledge and anything revelatory that may come from other artists. Sometimes just the simple form of music itself or the loving tones of encouragement break the spirit of oppression in the life of particular individual. We believe that the enemies chief victory among the poetic [artistic] and prophetic types of people have been in the area of rejection leaving people living as islands... alone and unto themselves.

Workshop to train artists of all media how to release God’s word. This workshop will help people to learn to listen to God in personal and corporate worship times and then link what they are hearing with appropriate medium, icons, imagery, etc. The release of what God has given them is critical. The barriers to that end we will look at and help to overcome. Those involved in prophetic ministry will have a helpful edge is this area. Where the ego is wounded encouragement is needed and when the ego is full of pride God must bring humility.

Workshop for visual artists. This workshop is to help visual artists with the technical transfer of ideas, dreams and visions to the ‘canvas’ [or your medium]. How does God add authority to our dreams and visions? There are many unexplored icons or symbolism in the Bible that have universal recognition. We will look at some and the significance God has given to names and events in scriptures. Also we look at how God anoints art when we are faithful to His inspiration. This is a good time to talk technique as well.

Celebrate God reclaiming the arts. In every event and gathering as God is reclaiming artists and their art a great momentum is added to worshippers. Christians will see the blending of the arts in worship as part of the gifting of the Holy Spirit. The gifting that I’m talking about here is not just technical ability, but the Holy anointing of the Word of God issuing through artistic expression. Along with Christians, the world will see God reclaiming the arts for His use.
